Living in a world without Xmas

img_3222

Christmas was a Christian festival, but nowadays, Christmas is more than a day for Christmas. Even in the far east, almost everyone looks forward to Christmas.

In my opinion, they just want to find a reason to celebrate something. Actually, they have many of their own ways to celebrate Christmas. For example, some Chinese people send apples to each other on Christmas Eve, which I think is really weird, but most of them believe it’s the correct way to celebrate Christmas. And in Japan, Christmas is a day people drink together and eat cake with their loved ones.

For me, as my religion is Shinto, I really wasn’t aware of the existence of Christmas until I saw more and more commercials appearing everywhere. But still, to be honest, I don’t really care about that, the same as my friends who are a bit traditional. We are looking forward to the coming of the new year, and preparing to send to each other new year cards.
