One Apple

During the past several months, I began massively switching from Sony to Apple. Specifically, I adopted the iPhone, iPad, and Mac to replace the Sony equivalents. As a former Sony fanboy, the first reason I did this is a little bit silly. I was because Sony rejected my application during the early stage of my job hunting. However, the issue was not that simple. Despite my objectives always being irrational, I intend to chase those irrational objectives through rational ways. I always recognized that Apple’s products are way better than Sony’s, especially in newer fields such as cellphones and computers. I was ignoring Sony products’ defects just because I loved this company and its culture. Thus, when Sony treated me like trash in the job market, I would not tolerate their garbage anymore.

Apple is almost the only electronics manufacturer who still creates something impressive like the new iPad Pro. I pre-ordered one the moment I watched the keynote. Nine months later, I still think this device is awesome and reliable. Since then, my progress in switching was fast. I quickly sold my Xperia and bought an iPhone XR. At this point, naturally I retired my Vaio and entered the world of Mac OS through the new Mac Mini. I worried if I could get used to Mac OS since I was a lifetime Windows user. However, I mostly accepted the new operating system the first day I got it.

Ironically, my experience with Apple products was actually earlier than Sony. I was an iPod user when I was in middle school. I had my first iPhone and iPad in my high school days. Now, I just simply returned to Apple’s ecosystem. My history as a Sony fanboy was shorter than I imagined.

I am still using some Sony products such as their TV, PlayStation, or sound equipment. They are either unreplaceable or too expensive to replace. However, Sony has lost its holy solid position in my heart. I am looking forward to the new iPhone Pro which will be released next month.
